Everyone has heard the saying, but what does it mean? What is different in "one of those days" than in any other "normal" day? It seems to me that when someones day isn't going right, they need someone or something to blame. Why not blame something that didn't do anything wrong. Blame the day! That is just funny to me.
I get it at work all the time, and I tend to use the saying a lot when I'm talking to customers. I never really stopped to think that maybe it's just them that can't handle blaming their "off" days and unusual activities on the actual day. Are people that afraid of change and experiencing something different? It's not like when the day starts it automatically pinpoints you out and says, "today is gonna be 'one of those days' for you." The day can't control what you do. Come on, get realistic. You're the problem, not the day. A day is consistently inconsistent. It's never the same.
Maybe you tripped over the dog this morning, or even got up earlier. That changes your whole day. When you get home, I'm sure you make sure you didn't trip over the dog again. Since you got up earlier, I'm sure you are more tired than what you would be.
So next time you think about saying that, think again. Don't blame the big guy, blame the little guy (that's you!). Unless, the day really does fuck you over.

Procrastination?
I'm on here instead of writing a paper for class. Figures, I will let anything distract me. Procrastination is fun sometimes. As in, I'm having more fun doing this than writing a 3 page paper for English class. Hm, maybe I'm just thinking in another sense. It works though!
Lesson for the day: Procrastination may be fun, but it doesn't get your homework done.. sadly.
Not that I'll remember that next time.
